First Liverpool evacuated Old Trafford after going 4-0 up at half time and ending up 5-0 winners. Scenes of United fans on their way out the ground were sound tracked to Show Them the Way to go Home, amongst other songs. Then they turned up to Anfield and were sent home early once again after an incredible atmosphere and an ever more incredible Thiago Alcantara performance left the away end virtually empty by full time. ‘Cause they’re only half a football team, compared to the boys in red!
