Wembley is red. There’s nothing quite like a day out in the Capital. Liverpool fans flocking down south in coaches, cars and trains to see the reds play in Wembley stadium. We’ve had some great results in Wembley in the past and in recent years. Liverpool have had so many league cup and FA Cup successes in London that Wembley has been christened ‘Anfield South’.
Liverpool’s success in the ‘old’ Wembley included our first ever FA Cup win when the head of Ian St. John popped up to defeat Leeds United in 1965. We even won the European Cup in Wembley in 1978 by beating Brugge under Bob Paisley’s management.In recent years in ‘new’ Wembley, we’ve had the ‘Andy Carroll’ semi final against Everton, the 2012 League Cup win and Jurgen Klopp’s first Wembley win in the 2022 Carabao Cup. We’re sure this won’t be the last time Jurgen’s reds celebrate at Wembley.
